Sustainable Security Solutions, Inc. doing business as S3 specializes in furnishing and installing detention equipment and security electronics in correctional and law enforcement facilities. Since its founding, Sustainable Security Solutions core business is to serve our customers by bringing our expertise, experience, and specialty knowledge to the clients and projects we participate in.  Our management team is a group of tenured, experienced industry professionals whose primary focus is to partner with our clients from project planning to final completion ensuring our clients will have a collaborative detention equipment and security electronics specialist they can partner with and depend on to successfully budget, coordinate, deliver, and install this unique equipment with a high level of quality, professionalism, and operational excellence.

 

S3's mission is to bring the highest level of personal service and commitment to excellence to every facet of every detention equipment and security electronics project we execute.  S3's company ownership and officers as well as the the most experienced, professional craft workers in our industry will be personally involved in every aspect of your project from pre-construction, project management and administration, field installation, close out to warranty and service after the job is completed. 

 
THE S3 TEAM

Zach Greene

President

After graduating from the University of Colorado and completing a post graduate degree at Colorado State University in Project Management, Zach began his career in the security industry in 1998 when he took a job as an assistant project manager for a small detention equipment contractor in Colorado, Sierra Detention Systems.  Between 1998 and 2005, Zach progressed to Vice President at Sierra.  During his time there, he was responsible for growing revenues from $5 million to $20 million annually and started Sierra’s Security Electronics Division. In 2004, Zach joined Southern Folger Detention Equipment as the Director of Technical Services.  While at Southern, he grew their technical service division from a $500,000 business unit to a $12 million business unit with a consistent 10% EBITDA by implementing a creative, customer focused solution-based strategy and building a strong, process driven operational team. 

 

Zach joined Argyle Security in 2009 as a senior project manager for ISI Detention where he managed all aspects of large detention and security electronics projects, built strong working relationships with an existing client base, and developed new business relationships for ISI.  In 2012,  Zach moved to California-based Argyle Precision where he served as division President and stabilized the operation before returning to ISI in 2014 where served as Chief Development Officer until May of 2018 with his Primary focus on pre-construction efforts in the Justice Market.

 

In May of 2018 Zach along with Pat McCracken and Todd Clark launched Sustainable Security Solutions, Inc. to bring a new level of personal service and commitment to S3's clients.

Pat McCracken

Vice President

After graduating from Texas A and M in 1991 Pat has spent his entire career of over 24  years in construction operations.  With over 15 of those years specializing in managing detention and security electronics operations. 

 

With his  24 years of experience as an operations manager and executive as well as his specialized knowledge of pre-construction, project management, specilaty products and construction processes  related to detention and security electronics  makes Pat a key to the culture of operational excellence at Sustainable security Solutions.

 

Pat is well known as one of the most talented, capable, and effective operational executives and problem solvers in the corrections industry. He is highly skilled in all aspects of construction and has personally managed some of the largest and most complex justice projects ever built, including the California Health Care Correctional Facility in Stockton California. This project consisted of a 50 million dollar plus detention equipment and security electronics contract that included multiple disciplines and a team of over 100 people during construction. 

 

Pat is an experienced, process driven professional. His  talent, and project administration abilities ensures S3's culture of operational excellence is the foundation of every project we undertake.

Todd Clark

Director of Estimating and Project Coordination

After Graduating from California Baptist University with a BS in Criminal Justice in 2009  Todd began is career in the detention equipment industry doing Estimating, Sales and Project Coordination at California based Argyle Precision, one of the country's leading detention equipment manufacturers.

In 2013 Todd made the move to Argyle's San Antonio headquarters and took on the role of estimator and project manager for Argyle Security's Detention and Security Electronics Contracting division.  In this position Todd was responsible for detailed contract document reviews, take-offs, supplier and subcontractor negotiations, and final estimates for high profile detention projects. In addition, Todd would follow many of these projects through to completion as the project manager. 

In Todd's 5 years at Argyle Security's contracting division Todd estimated and project managed multiple detention and security projects including:

Bexar County Jail Addition - 2 million dollar detention equipment and security electronics subcontract for a new housing unit at Bexar County Jail in San Antonio, TX.

Johnson County Jail Additions and Renovations - 1.5 million dollar addition and renovation project including detention equipment and an adding to an existing touchscreen security electronics system. 

In May of 2018 Todd, along with Pat McCracken and Zach Greene left Argyle to form Sustainable Security Solutions, Inc. where he could utilize his talent and experience to bring best in class personal service to S3's clients.

General Contractor: Don Kruger Construction

Scope of Work: Furnish and install detention hollow metal doors and frames, detention locks and hardware, detention furniture and accessories, security glazing, padded cells,  and Integrated Touch Screen/PLC based Door control, IP Video, Audio, and man down security electronics for new 112 bed county Jail in Lampasas, TX. 

DFW POLICE HEADQUARTERS

Architect: PGAL

General Contractor: JE Dunn Construction

Scope of Work: Furnish and install detention hollow metal doors and frames, detention locks and hardware, detention furniture and accessories, security glazing, and padded cells for a new Police Headquarters at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport. 

PRAIRIELAND DETENTION CENTER GATE UPGRADES

Owner: La Salle Corrections

General Contractor: Sustainable Security Solutions, Inc. 

Scope of Work: Design, build, furnish and install new electronic detention grade gate locks and intercoms and add these devices to the existing touchscreen/PLC security electronics system for this private ICE holding facility.
